The "Dresden Summer Dance" offers three different groups.
Children, Youth & Adults Dance, vocational/professional education and dance teachers workshop.
Creative dance classes as well as ballet, are aimed for children and young people as well Ballet or contemporary classes for adults who love to dance.
Vocational/professional students and professional dancers who would like to explore and improve their knowledge, are offered; Ballet, Contemporary, Variation, Etude and Repertory
In addition, the "Dresden Summer Dance" will be offering a pedagogic tutorial workshop for dance teachers. This workshop focuses on the expansion and exchange of knowledge through practical examples. It has the goal to gain theoretical knowledge in a targeted manner and later be put into practice. Teachers are able to observe classes and take notes for later discussions. This opportunity is extended to choreographers and dance professionals that can also enrich their knowledge and experience different teaching methods.
The children and youth dance classes are meant to work within the diversity of dance. Improvisation leads to the uncovering of different movement patterns. It is all about the fun of dance.
A playful warm-up initiates each session that continues through the discovery of “cool” moves and unusual dance steps. This trains coordination and physical fitness. Besides the creative dance, this course also includes daily ballet classes and a project. It has the aim of creating strength, self-expression and self-confidence.
The adults classes is for lhobby dance enthusiasts from about 16+ years old
Daily classes in ballet or contemporary.
The vocational and professional training are aimed at dancers between 13 to 20+ years old and are divided into 3 groups.
Junior-Intermediate-Senior. The course includes a daily ballet class, variation, contemporary dance, etude and repertoire. Students will also have the opportunity to work with choreographers and rehearsers for a closing (Work results) performance.
The Dance teachers workshop is directed to professionally employed dance teachers who are working with non-professional dancers and wish to expand their knowledge through exploration. These classes are focused on practical examples that go more in depth into the application of the expertise in a targeted manner.
We offer the opportunity to teachers and dance professionals to observe the classes and rehearsals to enrich their knowledge and experience of different teaching methods.
